Shhh… Robi Found Moonshiner
Moonshiner … A Speakeasy Worth the Hunt
There are hidden gems… and then there’s Moonshiner.
Tucked behind a pizza joint in the 11th arrondissement, Moonshiner isn’t just a nod to the Prohibition era—it’s a full-on secret cocktail haven. No neon signs. No obvious entrance. Just the thrill of discovery, the swing of a hidden door, and suddenly—you’re in.
Inside, the ambiance is sultry and low-lit, with a retro jazz soundtrack that practically begs for suspenders and red lipstick. The night I went, It was like time-traveling to a cooler version of the past. As a Las Vegas native, I half-expected the Rat Pack to emerge from behind the bar with Negronis in hand!
Now let’s get to the cocktails—because wow. Moonshiner doesn’t play around. Their drinks are masterclasses in balance and creativity. Think smoky, spicy, floral, or straight-up bold—there’s something for every mood. I had a mezcal cocktail with black lime and cacao that still haunts my palate in the best way. And yes, I took photos—but you’ll have to scroll for those.
Places like this are why Robi Eats in Paris exists. Not just to find the prettiest plates, but to spotlight the experiences—the ones that make you lean in and say, “I’ve never had anything like this.” The ones you can’t wait to tell your friends about (or… maybe just a select few).
So should you go? Only if you’re willing to keep a little secret.
